The Jay Barkheimer Collection, Part 3 – Considered one of the most substantial and diverse advertising collections ever to come to market, the Jay Barkheimer Collection showcases rare, high-condition items spanning multiple genres, including gas & oil, soda, automobilia, country store, and farming/agriculture. Jay meticulously displayed these items with a keen eye for visual aesthetics, ensuring a “wow” factor for anyone fortunate enough to view them in person. The Thornton & Pam Beroth Pilot Mountain Collection – Thornton Beroth amassed one of the largest gas and oil advertising collections in the United States, a passion that came naturally through his family’s business as an oil distributor with multiple gas stations across North Carolina. The Beroth Collection was displayed in a charming two-story, converted bank building in downtown Pilot Mountain, where Thornton and Pam regularly gave tours to both locals and visitors. Gas and oil memorabilia filled every wall, room, and corner, offering a unique glimpse into the history of Petroliana.
